The last 6 months have been particularly busy, we have updated and added features to many of our clients systems.

14th January 2004

We thought it was about time we updated the news page. Lack of updates may suggest we have not been very active; on the contrary, the last 12 months have been particulary busy.

On the 9th January, EasyPC Ordering version 1.0 (see below for further details) was released and deployed at the offices of Key Kollectables Limited.

Vitality Group Limited (formally CBS Genios Ltd) have recently instructed us to develop a substantial client sales order processing system. The system will operate remotely from a host server and updates will be carried out using a land-line modem or via mobile phone using Bluetooth technology.

The FieldPlan for Pocket PC agronomy system (PocketPlan) and companion applications have all had a major upgrade and are proving to be a worthy alternative to the notebook version.

In November 2003 the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre required us to replace its project time management software. This was completed on time and on budget and went live this week.

For the last 5 months we have been developing a new feature-packed sales order processing / mail labelling application called EasyPC Ordering. This client-server product uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as its backend database for robust and secure transactional processing. More information about this will be available here shortly.

23rd October 2002

The last six months have been exceptionally busy. Many of our clients have required various development work to be undertaken. We have started to use the Microsoft® Windows® Installer installation and configuration service to assist our application deployment for some of our projects. This was certainly not as straight forward as originally envisaged (be warned), however after a bit of a steep learning curve and various bug fixes from 3rd party tool developers we now have the ability to use this technology with some confidence.

22nd January 2002

Much progress has been made in developing the FieldPlan for Pocket PC agronomy system. And we are pleased to announce that version 1.0 is now being used by H.L. Hutchinson agronomists.

12th November 2001

Following a successful meeting with London based independent chemist wholesaler CBS Genios Ltd. The company has been instructed to carry out modifications to their well established electronic ordering system - GenieOS. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Deacon (Executive Chairman) and Mike Hayward (Systems Manager) for selecting Thorogood Software Limited to carry out the necessary development.

25th October 2001

We have been given the exciting and challenging task of developing a Pocket PC variant of the notebook PC Fieldplan agronomy system used by H.L. Hutchinson Ltd. This will run on Compaq iPaq Pocket PC devices running version 3.0 of the Windows CE operating system.

1st March 2001

Due to an exceptionally high demand for our services we shall not continue development on our MapSense GIS/GPS application for the foreseeable future. We may release the software (as-is) as freeware at a later date.

12th February 2001

Contract signed with new client PCME Limited to supply substantial programming, testing and source code documentation services for their range of particulate monitoring systems. We would like to take this opportunity to thank William Averdieck (Managing Director) for choosing Thorogood Software Limited to carry out the necessary work.

21st November 2000

Contract signed with new client Marlow and Company Limited based at Bury St. Edmunds to supply significant computer programming and system development services in connection with the development of their Prospect II client-server system. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Roger Smith (Group General Manager), John Oakey (Financial Controller) and David Fellingham-Boyce (Senior Programmer) for selecting our company.
